Title | Proposal of Variable Boundaries Membrane Structure and Fundamental Study for Mechanical Properties by Finite Element Analyses |
Author | Shu Ohizumi,Masato Araya |
Summary | Form-Finding Analyses of membrane structure in the history, they performed only for the surface, because of assuming a rigid boundary. Therefore, the member of boundaries will be bigger. On the other hand, assuming the interaction of membrane and bending member , it is believed to be possible to implement a new membrane system with a light boundary. In this study, first, by implementing Membrane ? Elastic Beam interaction analyses, we discuss basic mechanical properties of the proposed system. In the interaction analyses, we adopt the finite element method which has been commonly used as structural analyses. The boundary is modeled with beam elements considering the geometrical nonlinearity, so we can consider large deformation of a beam. Fundamental Considerations and Finite Element Analysis of membrane structures proposed variable frame borderline. |
